Hanging upside down

The Indian palm squirrels or three-striped palm squirrels (Funambulus palmarum) are the species of rodent native to the warm, humid areas of India and SriLanka. They are considered sacred in India and fed by many Hindu families, mainly because of their association with Lord Rama. The squirrels are about 6 to 7.8 inches long, and their body is just a bit longer than its bushy tail. They have a gray-brown back with the diagnostic three stripes. Weighs about 3.5 to 4.2 ounces (100 to 120 grams) and are surprisingly fast for their size. They can run about 10 miles per hour (16 km/hr).
